Controls can be remapped, and gamepads configured, from the emulator's own settings menu (the gear icon on the player). Shaders — CRT, scanlines, and similar — live in that same menu under Shaders, alongside save states and screen recording.

About saves

There are two different things called "saving", and it's worth knowing which is which:

  • In-game saves are what the cartridge itself would store — saving at a Pokémon Center, for instance. These are kept automatically in this browser, and Export .sav downloads them in the standard format that mGBA, VBA-M and most other emulators can read.
  • Save states are instant snapshots of the exact moment you're at, taken from the emulator's own menu. They're also kept in this browser, but they're emulator-specific and aren't part of the .sav export.

Because everything is stored in this browser, clearing site data will remove it. Export anything you'd be sad to lose.
